Okay I was wondering if there are people here who made their own turbo kit? What parts did you use, was it worth it, cheaper, more expensive. Where did you buy these parts from? Just wondering, someone told me that its cheaper to buy different parts in other places and just make it yourself then to buy a kit from like Greddy or XSengineering.

it's all up to what you want....mostly why I went turbo is the fact that none of the kits offered the turbo I wanted, the wastegate needed, and little things here and there. I went that route becasue I want big numbers....if your car will be daily driven and only some track, go with a kit....Don't get me wrong, kits can make good numbers, but I would rather buy the parts I want the first time around

 

I built mine with parts I bought one at a time...

Custom Downpipe, F-Max manifold, deltagate wastegate, spearco intercooler, Vortec FPR <then I wasn't standalone>, and a WHOLE lot more... it was easy, jsut takes time.

 

i did the same thing...look up my username i just posted a pic of my turbo setup that i pieced together, took longer than i thought, but, its all worth it!
