Default A/C compressor will not turn back on after running the A/C for awhile.

If I turn the AC off and back on after running the AC for awhile the compressor will not start. Does anyone have any ideas why?

Is there a problem with the temperature of the air coming out (meaning does the AC stop working when this happens) or are you just concerned that the compressor is not coming on?

i think i have traced it down the the compressor. I'm guessing that the clutch on the compressor is going bad or if there is a relay on the compressor, its is going bad. I can push start the compressor with a piece of hose.

Is the clutch clearance in spec? Probably needs to be re-shimmed. It could have a weak coil also, there's a resistance check for that.

when I push my clutch closed, my air doesnt get real cold like my del sol's and i'm using a del sol/civic compressor. Is it possible that the clutch/coil problem is causing the a/c to not work to its potintial?
