base vs sport
The only major difference is that you can only get cruise control on the Fit Sport. It is not a dealer option if you get a Fit Base.
All the other things can be added onto the Fit Base later if you want to. I personally think the Sport trim is worth it.

ya mine was liek that too it was only an 800 difference. I also got the sport cuz i think it looks better plus when u wanna sell the car, u can sell it as a fully loaded vehicle with everything.
I don't know that I'd call the differences huge. I would say that one model is a Base model and the other is dressed up to go out.
They both have all of the power amenities, but the Sport gets remote entry std. It's not like you can't add it to the base model though.
The aero package on the sport, accompanied with the fog lamps is a major bonus. However, I am not trying to win any shows with mine, so, the basic body look is fine with me. Again, if I decide to do so, the fogs and stuff can be added later.
One of the amenities that i do wish the Base had was cruise control. The past 2 cars I've had (minus the S2k) didn't have it. And I could sure use it on long highway hauls.
The only other major standout between the two is the wheels. 15" alloys for the Sport and 14" steelies w/ hubcaps for the Base. But, again, there are many aftermarket options.
So, if you want to buy a car that's all dressed up and ready to play, get the Sport. If you want the car but you're not sure if you want to modify it a little or customize it to your liking, get the Base. Either way, you won't be disappointed.
