Default Stolen Recovery ITR

This question is for the current ITR owner only and your valuable input will help me on making a decision on what to do when I get my car back form the body shop.

p.s. i ask this question b/c i feel like dis-owning the car when i saw the theft damages and the insurance is replacing everything that is damage
thank you

Honestly dude....I had my car stolen and those bitches had my car for 5 days ******* ripping it to shreds......good thing that they were poor because they had minimal tools and only two jackstands......when the cops found my car in their garage it was completely dismantled....That was two years ago.....yes i said TWO.....I have spent those last two years putting this car back together.....I thought about selling numerous times and got good offers too

When it comes down to it I enjoy driving the car too much to let it die........I felt the same way u did.......I was already picking out a new car..........but the ITR is a rare car that most people will never drive much less own........so I think we are a privelaged bunch.......I would keep it and thats what I voted for............but thats on one condition

GET A BEATER and only drive the ITR when u know u wont need to leave it anywhere........thats the only way u can prevent it from being stolen

pshhh that's not even that bad.
and you're worried about getting a used rear hatch window? lol..
make a deal with them and get a jdm rear hatch glass with no wiper
but that would be what i would do...
do what you wish.

yeah, you can get that done in a matter of a couple months. just constantly browse the classifieds and you will find great deals. the people here are good. plus, you will get support from the ITR forum during your re-build

if you sell the R... then the thieves basically win

if you hold strong and rebuild, you're showing who's boss

Just buy a starter from a junk yard and have a locksmith install it. It Shouldn't cost more then $350 including instalation, I bought and installed mine for 250.

If your ecu is damaged or missing just buy one of here they run for about 150-200.

And your hatch looks like any normal body shop should fix.

You should def. keep that suka, it's a quik fix.

It shouldn't cost more then 1000-1200 to fix that.

you have to keep it! there have been much worse than that. I know it sucks, but they didn't take most of the good stuff like 5 lug and the b18c5 looks very fixable to me.

I didn't notice, but did they get away with the type r Badge, those are pretty much the only thing irreplaceable.
