93 d16z into 91 hatch swap ?s
looking at getting 91 dx for cheap but i know they aint got no power under the hood.. buddies got d16z out of a 93 si .. want to swap it all over to the 91 i know it aint that hard but what harness do i need , better to switch to obd1 or stay obd0, can i switch to a hydro or better finding cable.. help me oout...
You will need to take a mpfi hanress (crx/civic HF, EX, Si) and add various sensor connections in the right places, or hack up your stock DX harness, which is above most people's experience level. The tranny has to stay cable, unless you want to do a shitload of welding for brackets and bend up hydro tubing or make some conversion lever/brackets like HASport's b-series kit.
Its better to go obd1, since there isn't any obd0 d-series vtec ecu, the closest is the jdm pr3 (b16). Otherwise you use an Si/EX ecu with a switch, and that doesn't work the best for power.

HiProfile is right...if you cant solder....dont attempt this swap. If you can solder, or know someone who can and got the motor for cheap, its worth the effort.
