Default OBD1----> OBD0 Swap?

I have my old motor (d15b) and tranny from my 93 Dx hatch and i wanna swap that into my 90 Hatch. This should be a direct bolt in correct?
Basically i am wondering if this swap will work,i am looking to just make my 90 hatch a good cheap reliable beater car,thats it.

What will i need/do in order to make the swap work?

The motor will bolt in no problem but the tranny will not work since it's hydro. You'll need to use a 88-91 Civic/CRX D series cable tranny. If the car is DPFI (all are but Si's) then you'll probably want to rewire to MPFI. I wouldn't even bother doing an OBD1 conversion. Just use OBD0 Si parts: injectors with resistor box, distributor and ECU. Much more simple, especially for a beater. Of course you can put the DPFI parts onto your 93 DX motor as well to keep it really simple.

I put a JDM d15b into my 91 DX hatch, MPFI was done with my previous zc swap, I tried to keep it OBD1, but ended up modding an z6 distributor to fit with the OBD1 head (just a little hole trimming) kept it OBD0 and added a vafc to control the vtec and it's great now. VTECVillain is right, you have to keep your cable tranny, you can convert the hydraulic to work, not worth it IMO.

Hasport makes a B-series hydro tranny mount for EF civic/crx's, which i *think* might work for D-series tranny's as well... seeing that hydro D & B tranny's use the same exact OEM top tranny mount for 92-95 civics & 96-00 civics, this design may carry over in Hasports hydro tranny mount. I could be wrong though.

Hit up Hasport/Brian G for more info...

The hydro trans mount Hasport offers for the 88-91 Civic/CRX will NOT work on a sohc transmission.

I'll have to check with my buddy Jerren, he put a d16y8 w/ hydraulic transmission into his CRX, not sure what mount he used, but it made his clutch pedal hard as hell to push (and now the clutch pedal arm is bending towards the door from the force).
