i got an uglier one than that, multiple fractures on all 4 sleeves, on an all motor car too.

some idiot shop in nj call schiller or schmiller performance fked up the piston to valve clearance. when it hit vtec it blew up bad

did u crack the sleeve or the piston cause that looks like my block but i cracked a piston in about that same spot and if u get it honed u wont have a problem just get bigger piston i am going 82mm type r style

if u up the size dont u have to do more work? balance the crank etc..? Let me know b/c I might go through this route. the sleeve isnt cracked the piston cracked. the cylinder wall isnt even the scratched that bad

yeah you can hone the cylinder and then get a piston that is half a mm larger, however I am planning on sleeving my block at some point in time over the next 9 months if I can afford it. How much are you willing to add on top of shipping? PM me, we might be able to work somthing out.

NO, i am going up in size to 82mm and the machine shop said that the honda cranks come balanced real well and dont have 2 get balanced again. and from ur pics i seen that only ur piston cracked so get a slightly bigger size and ur good. U can go anywhere up to 82mm and be safe. I am having my whole blocked cleaned, decked, new rods and piston(from HT only $149), oil and water pump and bearings done for a $1000, so its not bad 4 a brand new block basically. here is how he broke down the pricing
parts 89
bore and hone 150
resurface 75
polish crank 75
install and remove piston 50
clean and check rods 50
labor 250
degrease and inspect 150
brand new block for about 1000 and it was about 250 for parts (piston, water, oil pump)

Does everybody agree with this. Just dont want to make a mistake? And if so anybody selling 82mm pistons

u dont have to go as high as 82mm u can go 81.5mm it is up 2 u but look in the performance section of the honda tech market place and run any type of pistons gsr, civic r, or integra r
