Default Question on headers... might sound dumb.

I was thinking and probably will order my headers for my civic. Are they direct bolt on where jus take the old ones out and new ones in ? Or are there special tools that i need ? Thanks

you might wanna get an impact air wrench incase you have some seriously rusty bolts ..... but a 12 and 14 mm is all you should need

its cake but like already stated sometimes those rusted bolts can be a bitch. i was one bolt away last time and stripped it had to cut the downpipe just to get it out.

cut the downpipe? why didnt you just take the downpipe off the cat.. and no one answered his question... there or nine bolts holding it on where it connects at the block and there are three where it connects at the down pipe.. Also all d series header should be interchangable same with b series engines... if you order them just order them for your car at a vehicle specific site then all you hvae to worry about is if they send you the wrongs ones, which can always be replaced..

A torch will work wonders on an old rusty bolt. Flame it for like a minute and the bolt loosens like butter.
