Just put ys1 tranny on my b16a with the new stock clutch kit for the 92-93 integra. Everything bolted up but now my car won't shift into any gears. With the car off the car still shifts through the gears but once on, it makes like a grinding rubbing sound. I installed the clutch with the clutch side towards the flywheel, I also fully adjusted the clutch cable back and forth and still no luck. Any help will be appreiciated, thanks

 

stupid question, did you put fluid in the trans and are you sure the syncros are gone. and how did the TO bearing look and is it installed correctly? just throwing ideas out there

 

sychromesh tranny fluid is in the transmission 2.3 liters of it, throwout bearing is brand new and installed correctly, I believe the throwout bearing can only go in one way, would you be able to shift throw the gears with the engine off if the sychros were gone, just wondering, thanks

 

yes because nothing is spinning, therefore syncro's serve no purpose with the engine off

 

when the car is on and you try to put it in gear you can hear the clutch disc grinding, like its not catching
