Default oil pan removal

I am going to replace my oil pan and gasket. its a 99 civic ex

I wanted to know if I have to use any sealant on the gasket? some tell me I do and some tell me i dont

Are there two O2 sensors i have to remove? would it be easier to remove the O2 from the header with a wrench or remove it by disconnecting the harness?

Is there anyway i can tighten back down the oil pan bolts without a torque wrench

are there any tips for removing/reinstalling an oil pan?

Thanks

Using hondabond in conjunction with the gasket is up to you.

I had hondabond on both sides of my gasket, and it leaked. Spent hours scraping off the old hondabond and used only the gasket, and no leaks. People have had luck both ways... or lack thereof I should say.

Regarding torqueing those bolts... don't even bother with a torque wrench. Just follow the torque sequence, use a small ratchet and stop when the bolts bottom out. The studs/bolts in this area aren't that strong, you don't want to snap one of these or strip those threads on the bottom of your block.

Have fun, wear gloves, and prepare for a mess.
