Default Fuzz Buster

2 of my friends have been pulled over and ticketed recently and i've decided its not worth the risk. Does anyone know a place that sells these online? Thanks

Default Trust me,

Coming from a law enforcement official. (correctional officer, training for Highway Patrol) dont waste your money. I have a better idea, SLOW DOWN>

You having a radar jammer, even though it may work, doesnt take care of the problem. And the problem is speeding. If you are speeding, youre more likely to have a crash because of the longer time it takes to slow down.

So be careful of who is around you, civilians and PD alike, and save the speed for the track/strip.

If you want me to give a testimony of why i think this, let me know. Itll more than likely scare the shizzwhit out of you.

Valentine One is the only "real" solution, since it's the only one that has effectively picked up all Laser bands (without spending over $1000). But, like it's been stated before, get off of the gas.

You can find them in alot of places on the net but the cop might not start clocking you tell it to late for you to slow down.

Save yourself some money and slow the hell down. Go autocross if you need to exercise the go fast itch. Besides, a cop doesn't need to hit you with radar to pull you over.

The cheap way not to get a speeding ticket is to drive within the speed limit. Radar detectors and laser detectors are not going to be effective if the cops are up in an airplane clocking you. It's your money and life.

Correct. The top-of-the-line Escort and the V1 are the only ones worth your money. Everything else are POS that you shouldn't waste your money on.

But, just slow down--like many folks have suggested.

I have to disagree. I had a 40 dollar radar from wallmart. I do not speed but if i was it would have saved me out of a ticket many times. But that was also on the Highway in the country so it was probably not hard for it to pick it up.

Disagree if you like, but the fact is that they use lower quality components in the cheap-o models. There was a test a while back, comparing all the available radar detectors on the market (including the 1000+ dollar models), and for the money, the Valentine 1 (Escort's high dollar model wasn't out yet), had about 4 times the area coverage. The cheap-o models have such a small range, that they can only pick up what's directly in front of you. They barely pick up what's behind you, and forget about trying to pick up frequencies and radar bands that are on the sides of your car.

Only when you're driving at the cop directly.

i have the top of the line escort model i cant remember what its called ill edit later when i get home and its got pretty good range, 360 degree detection/jamming, ive never gotten a ticket with it *knock on wood* a cop cant pull you over if he doesnt clock you directly and see that you are the car that is speeding so if you get one with good enough range it can save you alot

Cops can pace you, though, bud. Just so you know, cops love to pace people in Wisconsin.

Pacing: When someone follows/leads at the same speed you do.

Basically, I've had cops go the same speed I am, and pull me over based on what speed they were going. They can tail from quite a distance as well, so they don't have to be on your bumper to pace you.

If they start to lose sight of you, they'll either A) Radar you or B) catch up and pull you over. That's the dumbest thing I've ever read, losing a cop with a fairly stock EM2.

Well, considering you posted in the 2001-2005 Civic Forum, one could make the assumption that you're referring to a 2001-2005 Civic. And, no I'm not an *******, I'm just being realistic. Outrunning a Cop car isn't easy, and even if you happen to outrun one, it won't mean that you're in the clear. You'd need one seriously well-thought out plan to outrun a cop and get away with it. You'd need some sort of hideout, fake plates, and alternate vehicles. Or... if you lived in Japan, one hella-fast car. Or... if you lived in Europe, a car that handles like a son of a gun.

Don't get so edgy kid, it isn't worth the effort.

im not getting edgy just a simple question, and being up there and down here is a world of difference running from the cops isnt hard hell 75% of the cops around here dont even have radars in tehir car unless its a trooper i dont know pointless arguement
