No offense, but if your asking this question, your better off not doing any of this yourself, just take ure **** to a machine shop and ask them what would be the best, cuz im sure they have done a b18 before and know what helps them

for the power that you get out of it, its not worth your money you think it would probably take a shop about 24-48 hours of work at 40 bucks an hour at that cost just buy you a new engine and bigger engine
you can get the kit for port and polishing for $50, but yes it takes a lot of time to do it (15-20 hours).
but im still sketchy on the whole concept behind it.
that if you read this guys site.... http://mototuneusa.com it sais in there that pnp your head (making the ports bigger for more air flow) will actually make you lose power rather than gain in. he also sais that making your ports smaller will gain more hp because the oxygen traveling in is going at a higher velocity into the combustion chamber because it has got less space to squeeze through.
but again im not sure on the whole pnp idea, more oxygen doesnt neccessarily mean more power.

thats a load of ****. the reason ports are the size they are from factory is because, first of all the smaller ports allow for more metal material and less likely to crack and break, also, it designed for optimal power while mantaining optimal fuel efficiency, so you have to sacrifice power for fuel efficiency. A bigger port will give power gains to a degree. BUT there is such thing as too big. You want to make the perfect balance between port size and velocity. Your best bet for something like this is to take your head a shop with a flow bench, they will be able to find out the most optimal port size for your application.

expletive a flowbench, those results measure **** thats not even important, but i still dont know what to believe on the pnp idea. guess ill have to just trial and error it myself

how does it measure something thats not important? but yea, go ahead and try it, if you do it right, your not gonna lose horsepower, but if you just enlarge the whole port and not the right areas, then yea, you probably will
