Default VTEC/Motor Problems! Help.

This morning driving to work I noticed that while driving and while in neutral, that my motor would begin to cut/bog out at VTEC (5000rpm). I run a built LSVTEC setup and it seems like it could be something in the fuel maps (Hondata) or the VTEC solenoid. The sound is pretty nasty and makes me not want to drive it, however until about 4300 rpm, the car drives normally. As I rev higher (2000-4000) and use more throttle, the motors rpm's increase normally but it feels weaker and lean as well. Im sure that others on H-T have experienced things like this, and I want to know if anybody has any suggestions!
