i have some cut wires (under my ignition cylinder) where do they go??
whats goin on? as some may know i've been havin trouble gettin my '92 gs to start....well when i was under my steering wheel to check the main relay, i noticed 3 cut wires(all in the same"loom") just under the ignition cylinder (where the key goe's)
the 3 wires were:
- white w/red stripe
- white w/blue stripe
- white w/yell stripe
where do they go/ what do they do?? (this could be a reason why my car has trouble starting)

is your car 5 spd?
it sounds like the steering colums was automatic
it has a solenoid that will only release the key when the car is in the parked position.

this is a pic of a auto key ignition switch.
you see the little rectangle on top left that is the solenoid that releases
locks in the key
