pistons ?

Default pistons ?

i was tolded that putting gsr pistons in a b16 is good set up for boost.they said it lower's the compression how true is this?

just go with aftermarket forged pistons.. you can choose any compression you want

Pistons are cheap now a days, if you don't have that kind of money, don't build a setup.

Turbo setups are not cheap. Do it right the first time

gsr pistons and b16 pistons isnt that much difference. Not even worth it in my opinion.

i'm guessing because you wont spend the extra 30% more that forged pistons cost.. you will also cheap on the fuel system and tuning.. the engine will burn down, and your going to be back where you started

Compression goes donw to 9.0:1 with GSR pistons on b16 rods in a b16 block.
You need to shave 1-2 mm on both sides of the small end for the pistons to fit

no the performance shop i work at will tune my car for free.im the painter at this shop and i got a bet on who could build the faster b motor using all stock honda part's.i know wher your going with this and yes id do the same.im not trying to spend money on that.sorry for asking thought this was a performance thread my bad

If you want to go the cheaper way. It would better just to get a stock LS bottom end and place the b16 head on it and boost that. Would yeild a lot lower compression and give you the better torque as well.
