The car was running fine for about 2 months and I did not drive it for 2 days and now the car will not start up. I've checked the starter, ground wires, timing and battery. The problem is the engine cranks but does not start. Fuel comes to the engine and there are sparks from the spark plugs, however, I don't understand why my car won't start up after not driving it for 2 days. Is there anything that I can double check to see what the problem is.

 

check fuses, although it sounds stupid, its normally the stupid little things thats wrong in that situation.

 

freinds car did this b16a2 we changed the coil cap and roter and it was fine we also advanced his timeing a bit 2 help alot took like 45 mins costed like 75$ from autozone

 

I check all my fuses and my dizzy if fine cause I get sparks...we tried a dizzy from my freinds car and it does the same thing...anything esle!

 

you said it has spark so check the gas

 

I have a fuel gauge and I can hear and see on the fuel gauge that fuel is coming..but all the car does not is crank crank just doesn't start sometimes it feels like it will almost start but doesn't...

 

Do you smell alot of fuel... I had the same prob with my b16 just wouldnt crank over.... I let it sit for a bit put some fuel booster in the tank and it started right up.....heh mine was sittin for 2 years though.

Is the ground on the thermostat housing attatched?

 

borrow your friends distributors..bet on it.

 

check to see if the battery terminals are cortroded or not. corroded cables will cause a no start or a weak battery

 

check to see if u have a timing jump...i had the same exact problem...bought a new dizzy and spark plugs and everything...gas comes up but won't crack...my problem was one of my cam gear was up and one was down. I adjust it and it started...maybe this will help
