yeah you should only need maybe the old injector plugs from the B18 harness, run a new vtec line and depending on the year maybe a obd 2 to obd 1 conversion kit you can get for cheap somewhere on this forum or ebay. you need to let us know what year DX hatch your putting it in and what year the engine came from to know if you will need a obd conversion kit to plug the B18C5 Ecu into the old harness. It's been a while so you might need to do more than just injectors but with the B18 harness you have all the plugs you need except for the OBD stuff depending on years

I would take it back to them, that's why you check all the work that is done at shops.

All you need is a 96-98 civic ex obd2a wire harness. Only a few wires need to be lengthened. There is not going to be an obd conversion needed, unless it is an obd1 jdm type r. The injector plugs are fine and do not need to be changed. Find out what the codes are and go from there. If you are using a usdm ecu with a jdm engine the inevitable p1337 will always be there unless you do the crank sensor conversion. (not necessarily needed). Also, you can use your exsisting dx harness, but you will be modifying it alot more than if you were to stick with the ex harness. PM me if you need to get in depth with it.

Check ebay for used harnesses in perfect condition. expect to pay around $100-$150. I paid $100 a piece for both of my harnesses. Also, you can get them from hasport or place racing. You might want to keep your eye on the banners that frequent this forum. (I have no experience with them though)
