Default Dashboard Won't Light Up! HELP!

OK, I had a radar detector hardwired to the fuse box which I did myself with no problem. When I took it out, I caused a spark w/ my screwdriver and ever since my dash doesn't light up. Everytime I replace the fuse, it blows as soon as I turn on my lights. Any ideas what could be wrong? It kind of sucks not being able to see my speed or RPMs at night by the way

Not only are your dash lights going out but your tail lights are as well. Not sure what would cause that fuse to pop over and over but you should get it fixed asap or dont drive at night...

Actually my taillights work just fine. That was the first thing I did when I realized I screwed something electrical up: checked all my fuses, made sure all my lights still light up. My sound system still works great, headlights and taillights and signals all work, dome light works, cigarette lighter works, high beams, etc. The dash was the only thing (that I can physically see) that was affected.

If the fuse keeps blowing, it means you have a shorted wire somewhere.

Good luck finding it. (I hate trying to diagnose electrical problems)
