Ok guys please help out I got a 92 prelude with a 2.3 si engine and the heads are busted and I also have a 2000 Accord that has a 2.3 V tech engine in it is it possible to swap the engines? they are both auto transmissions so i would like to swap the engine and tranny because the one on the Prelude feels like its slipping can some one please help out?

 

its not gonna work. you are better off finding another h23 or spend the money on a h22.

i believe the accord engine is the f23 right?

What about the tranny on the accord will it work on the Prelude? and why wont the swap work?

 

Hmmmm, I would like to know the answer to this question too.

The two major issues that need to be determined are:
-Does the F23 have the same mounting points as the F22. If so, it will fit in a Prelude
-Since the F23 is OBDII, can you get an OBDII to OBDI conversion harness?

Does anyone know if the Acura CL's 2.3 is the same as the Accord's F23? I would assume so, but you never know.

 

^you are talking about those older cl's right? the smaller ones?

cause i'm pretty sure they are the same engines.

if the f23 was able to be swapped in, i think a number of 4th gen f22/h23 buyers would have swapped it in for a newer engine/ slightly better specs.
