CRAZY OIL LEAK FROM DIZZY

Just got done doin a rebuild (valve job, seals, mill and new rings). Put everything back together started it up after priming the engine oil. and took it out for a test drive and after i got on it a little bit the car started misfiring. looked under the hood and there was a stream of oil coming out of the distributor cap breather/nipple.

what could of caused my dizzy to crap out like it did? it was fine before the rebuild, any info would be appreciated. thanks
