If you had to pick only 2 aftermarket guages in the car, which ones?
I.E.- oil temp, a/f, oil pressure, voltmeter etc

I would say AF and oil pressure....although I would like to have a water temp gauge also....so I guess I wouldn't be happy with only two.

 

i'd say oil temp and pressure, but ideally i'd have oil temp, water temp, and oil pressure.

How does the A/F gauge install, like what is it hooked in to?

 

just the 02 signal wire, ground and 12+ ignition.

 

I'm leaning towards Oil temp and A/f... is the A/f that necessary? The oil pressure guage might be more important.

 

I would think A/F wouldn't be that big of a deal; I mean once you tune the car the A/F should stay reasonably constant. Maybe changing weather would throw it off a little, but the gauge is not totally accurate to begin with.

I would say start with a good oil temp gauge. Spend your money on that, and get a good one that gives accurate readings.

 

Who makes a good one? I'm leaning towards the Apexi Oil temp but it's pretty expensive. How's the autometer?

 

Boost and EGT

Defi would be my choice.

 

There are 3 of them that I would use:
Oil Temp
Oil Pressure
Fuel Pressure

I feel that these are a must on a modified car...especially one that will, at times, see track use.

I am thinking of doing an oil temperature/pressure and water temperature/fuel pressure combo in the future.

 

Looks cool...might just be easier to get one of the dual Omori, or Defi guages.

Upon closer inspection I think I have a winner. It seems like the defi guages will fit the autometer gauge pod.
