It would cause your engine to run inpropperly.
But for better measure lets have the year and model that you have. I don't reccomend that at all.
It also kills your gas mileage.

No definately not.
Making the engine think the air is cooler is not going to make a difference. The only way to make that work is to actually make the air cooler. Hence the cold air intake.

it tricks the ecu to make the a/f mixture richer. This is bad since the accord is already running sligtly rich to begin with.
