Default Differences in coolant brands

I was wondering is all coolant created equal? There are debates of which motor oil is the best, but can I just buy Walmart SuperTech coolant vs. Prestone (the "expensive" stuff).

There's Redline Waterwetter too but let's not get into the additives

They're all ethene glycol, but the differences are in the anti-corrosion packages. If you completely rinse out the old stuff & change it regularly, most types are OK.

Honda dealer coolant has no silicates; that's good.

You can have the most problems by mixing different types, especially when DexCool is involved. And you can't really tell what's in there now, because the same color can be used for different types of corrosion packages.
