Robbie Montinola wins the 2001-2002 Skip Barber - CART Formula Dodge Western Championship, the most competitive of the Regional Championships. Also, the MOST IMPROVED DRIVER Award, the most important award after the Championship.

In only his second year of racing, the 19 year old Californian dominated the Western Championship. Out of 14 Races in the 2001-2002 Western Series, Robbie won 9 Races, 3 Second place, 1 Third place, 1 Fourth place, and 9 Pole Positions.
