wire location and color
i got my defi guages yesterday and i was reading the instructions for the control unit and it says to tap into these wires:
12V wire (normal power), 12V wire (IGN), 12V wire (illumination), and Ground.
i'm not really familiar with the electrical system of an integ or any car for that matter ... where can i find these wires and what color are they?

You can use the wires coming from your ignition located under your steering column.
Red = 12v constant
Blue or Green = 12v ign wire
For the 12v illumination wire, choose either the blue or green 12v ign wire
Ground = black wire. get a wire and ground it to bare metal (make sure to take the paint off to get a good contact)
good luck

if you wire the illumination light to IGN1 or 2 the guage will be lit up 24x7. unless you want it that way, use the parking light signal wire. i believe it's the 14 guage (small) GRN/RED (green with red stripe) coming from behind the steering wheel area
as long as the illumination isnt hooked up to a constant power source, it will not stay on 24-7, good point though adam. keep an eye out for that when you are installing it.

all of you all are wrong with the ignition colors.
White = 12V Constant located in the ignition harness
Black Yellow = 12V switched also located in the ignition harness
Red/White = illumination located in a plug in front of the fusebox
Hope you haven't tried to hook it up yet.
