Finding a comparable replacement for Kosei K1
Since I can no longer buy 15x7 K1's would Rota slipstreams be a good alternative for track duty? They appear to be comparably priced to K1's.
Any other suggestions are welcome.

id go with the Kosei K1-TS. 15x7 +38 and very very light (10.8 lbs)

What about the Kazera KZ-M? The Spec Miata wheels. They come in silver and white, 15x7, 13.2lbs, 4x100.
Anyone know the center bore size? The only thing is the offset is only +30mm I believe. They are cheaper then K1's and I am considering a set for rain's. Just curious if anyone was running a set.

I run the Kosei K1 T-S wheel on a dedicated track car- stripped B18c CRX 450lb.springs in the front and 550s in the rear. While my car is light, sub 2000lbs. I have run at Road Atlanta about four times in the last year and a half on the K1 T-S. I mention Road Atlanta because it has major gatorteeth curbing at several apexes where the fastest line is to crawl on and in some places over the curbing. In other words the wheels take a good bit of punishment. Those wheels are still very round and true. Great wheel for the price and they are LIGHTER than the K1. That wheel is still being made.

I have the 1.2's in the 14 x 7 fashion. They are very durable and $138 from opm.

I have and they seem just as sturdy as the K1s. I've hit some minor potholes on the street going to/from autocrosses with no problems, but they haven't been out on track so I can't provide feedback on that.

5-bolt or 4-bolt? In five bolt applications, Tire Rack seems to want to start at 17" wheels.

did the edge racing deal. got the hanabis in 15x7. cannot beat that price for an 11lbs. wheel. still have not autox them yet. missed two events this past weekend due to stomach flu. two day event this weekend will be first time. one thing i do not like (i could be wrong), they appear to be directional. somebody correct me on this if wrong, as i would like to know for sure.

the Slipstreams are closer to 13lb. not sure how they came up with the published #'s.
I run the Kosi K1-TS (11.5 lb) and love them. My only complaint with them is when I have come into contact with another car they tend to bend. BTW the rim in the picture was from a good hit. I continued the rest of the race on the rim with no problems.

I've got a set of k1s that are only two years old that I'd probably be willing to part with for the right price. Not much use, just a few track events. 15x7, 4x100. Have the old Azenis mounted on them, two of which have some good tread left.

I'm surprised there aren't a lot of people running these wheels at only $99/per wheel. good offset, light weight, cheap, and available from tirerack. I believe the parent wheel company is ASA. I also read that the centerbore is perfect for Miata hubs at 54.06mm, meaning it wouldn't require hub rings on my car at least (not sure about the Hondas).

That would explain it, thanks.

just curious how often you change out your track duty wheels? do you just give them the once over before each race or do some of you change wheels every season?
