Brakes wobble under heavy braking. Warped rotors?
problem started a little while ago, under moderate to heavy braking, i feel a wobble in the steering wheel, tiny movements. I dont really have to correct or anything, but its noticable. BTW, i had this problem before i removed the PS, so that doesnt have anything to do with it. Also, before someone calls me a moron, its not the ABS. I know what that feels like, and this is not it. Warped rotors ya'll think?
ps- any chance of getting warped rotors replaced under warranty (if thats what it is)?

Pull out the dial indicator and check it out. Most likely if you've been running after market pads or realy pushed the stock pads hard on a corse, then yes its warped rotors.
And no they won't cover it under warrenty, its a wear item. Unless you got like 2,000 miles on it.

Good chance it is a warped rotor. If you are lucky it is not to bad and they can machine it without going under limit specs. I had it done and it was good for an other summer. But they warped again and now I have to change rotors ( this week hopefully).
If I remember correctly it was not under warrenty. Rotors are considered normal maintenance items.

It's probably you're rotors. One thing you might check is the torque on all of your lugs. Sometimes uneven tighening can cause this symptom you mentioned and just correcting the torque to 80-85 ft/lbs ea. solves the problem. Otherwise, you'll probably need new rotors. Colletti Motorsports has Brembo blanks for around $40 ea for the ITR if you need them.
I've got an order waiting for colletti right now. Its 190 shipped for all 4 rotors, unfortiently, they don't have the rears in yet. They are going to mail me as soon as they come in.
not sure what kinda of pads you're running, but it can also be uneven pad deposits on the rotor.

i think i'm gonna get everything changed (rotors, pads, fluid etc) this summer (just 3 weeks away
) in preparation for popping my track cherry at VIR with the bmw folks.
Ok guys, new question. This will be my first track event, should i just get OEM brake stuff, or upgrade?

Pads-panther (+ I guess)
lines- OEM (for now)
rotors- Autozone or OEM (depends on flow)
MC brace- if them bums would get around to building that ****
again thanks for the help
