clutch pedal making noise
ok for starts... its a 94 del sol si with b18c complete swap...
anyway before the swap it was doing this and still does it... like 50% of the time i go to start the car when i push in the clutch pedal is squeeks and goes "reee" lol well its annoying so could that just be all those springs needing lubrication? is there a grease or something i can put on them?

i would just try wd40 or get a spray white lithium grease and spray it on the pivoting part. Has always worked for me. The lithium grease will alst longer.
Its common for civics to leak from the slave cylinder. Go under the dash and see if it leaks around the rod. I know mine does, and it does that same thing for the first couple minutes I drive.

There's a boot under the dash that is filled with grease, well used to be. The boot is probably torn and the grease is probably gone. At least that's why mine was squeaking. Check that first. I didn't think it was worth the hassle to replace it.

well it came with a new clutch... its the same exact noise it made before i did the motor swap it just is like "reee" haha ima look under there and try that lithium **** i got a feeling that its just all those things need to be lubricated considering those springs and stuff are over 10 years old
The black seal is where mine was leaking. I think there is grease inside there that keeps everthing lubed up. I know it was not brake fluid, cause I have that blue fluid, and the color of this stuff was black.

That sound is the pivot ball and fork wearing or the clutch spring wearing. I drove like that for 15,000 miles and nothing got hurt....I wouldnt worry, but if it really annoys you, then drop the trans, relube everything, and put a new clutch and pressure plate on.
FYI, if you do relube, I would check out a manual to see which points need it. Dont lube the pressure plate spring.</TD></TR></TABLE>
i second that it is the clutch release fork + pivot ball that needs lube
