I have about 3g's to spend on mods...what should i spend it on?
Ok this is the deal. I have a side job i'm doing that's going to land me 3g's for a weeks worth of work. What should i do? I know most of you guys are going to tell me to go all motor, but i'm just an average guy that doesn't have a whole lot of money to spend on dyno time, installation costs, etc...Nor do I know my way around a motor. So this said I was thinking about a JRSC. Is this a good idea or no. If I go N/A how far would 3 g take me? And what kind of gains would i get? I would have done some searches on these issues but as we all know the search engine is busted. Thanks for all your help. Oh and my car is completely stock at this point.

i think wit 3G u can't really do a good thing on a R's motor
coz mosts of the "stock" parts in a B18C-R is already "modified"
if u mess around wit it u can even be downgrading from "stock".
on the other hand~ wit 3G u can buy some good suspension set up for ur R
but remember, dont go to the extrem, expensive dont = good, go for what u
"NEED".
In conclusion, if i have 3G ( well... i had
) i will get a Zeal or Buddy club sus. kit
and some 16" Volk.

I would still probabaly suggest you tune after you install the JRSC. I think header, exhaust will be needed to make it more free flowing first. Have it tuned for 91 octane if you wish. Intake would probably be good as well. then you got to get all the things for the JRSC as well. I think it's best to see what you have now mod wise. Then decide what you want to do.

ROA or ROTH ??
A lot depends on if you can do the installs yourself and if you anticipate every doing any more to the car. Think about where you want to go with the car and what you want it to do.
$3K, properly budgeted, could do a LOT for you.
Bilsteins, JDM ITR rear sway bar, and slightly lower/stiffer springs $800
SMSP Header, custom 2.5 exhaust and a Carsound cat $1200
Flywheel, AEM CAI, VAFC $1000
Give or take a couple hundred, that'd be a NICE R!
Stretch it to a JUN II intake cam and it'd be pretty fast too.

Assuming you want allmotor:
spec b's, valve springs, ti retainers, vafc, cam gears, toda/sms/hytech header + 2.5" exh, k&n on stock elbow, and tune tune tune...
Assuming you want FI:
used jrsc kit, kamikaze header, thermal 3" exhaust, kn on stock elbow, and tune tune tune...

stock sus is excellent. Enjoy that first. if you get more "competitive" or "serious" then spend the money. save your money for other stuff

No matter what you do, you will have to spend money tunning it, so deal with it. As far as all motor is concerned, it's more of a process than a single price tag like a turbo or SC. If I were you, I'd go splurge on some cams.
The above, I would guess, could run you 3500, before tunning. The spec B's, springs, retainers, gears, etc...

I can get all that for 3g ?!
