Default Best ECU for boosted dohc vtec motor ?

Here's my story: I am trying to determine what ECU I should run.
I currently have a OBD II GSR ecu, but I have come to the conclusion that I need a OBDI to avoid CEL's and for Hondata in the future.
I am running a B16 head and IM so I would like an early Vtec X/O point (4800?) instead of 5500 and a 8K rev cut. I need a 200mph limiter (LOL).

So which is the best ECU to run ? P72 ? P73 ? Chipped P28 ? Other options/suggestions ?

P28's are cheap, pleantiful and flexible.. probably why 90% of Hondata users run P28's

P28, or if you want to spend more P72!

Would I need to get the p28 chipped for Hondata, or can it (Hondata) control things like top speed limiter ? I really want to know if I should chip a P28 if I am eventually going hondata, or just save the $ by running the p28 stock until I go hondata ?

What's the diff between the p72 and p73 ? Any of the specs (vtec x/o, rev limit, top speed, A/C) different ?

All you need is the P28, then send it to Hondata who "chips" it themselves usuing a new ROM with the added values, specific to your car of course (which you get tailored at like SFP for example since they burn Hondata ROM's)

Can I get it chipped (for Hondata?) sometime before actually purchasing the entire EMS ?

Yes, you can have the ecu prepped beforehand and still run the stock p28 program.

FYI the P72 is a GSR ECU and P73 is ITR.

I would like to chip the P28 to GSR or SI specs (si has lower vtec x/o right ? or is that the GSR...) Brain not working...
Can I do this prior to prepping for Hondata, or will the HD prep do this anyway ?

GS-R X-over = 4400rpm
Si X-over = 5600rpm

Kewl, I definitely want the GSR x/o point. Can I get the p28 chipped to GSR spec ? To my knowledge I can, I just want to make sure.
