hey everyone has their own tastes..i seen many cars that come woth painted callipers stock and no not just the high preformance callipers bu i think the black with the white letters would look a lot better than just the ugly metal now..but hey i asked for opinions so thanx for the input.

It's ricer now to paint calipers? Wow... I beg to differ... If you paint your calipers to look/match better with your car - I say go for it. I had a milano red 97 prelude and painted the calipers 'racing red' and it looked 200x better than the ugly metal color.
It all boils down to what you want - forget about what someone else thinks - after all, it's your car...
Just my .02 cents.

You can always get the decal, cut a thick piece of post board to match the decal (using a razor) and use that as a stencil for using white caliper paint... Takes a little more work, but worth it if those vinyl decals don't last

so this is what i decided i think the red is a lil much for the blue so im going with the black calliper with the white acura decal..im going to paint the caliper whites stick on the decals and paint the whole thing black and later on take of the decal so ill have a nice solid lettering .. thanks fo the ideas as well as all the input
well if you must paint them why dont you paint them white put the decal on them then paint them red or black whatever your going to paint them and then peel the decal off

i still think it's ricer i say you cant fake or imitate the look of real brembo break calipers and my brother painted his calipers red on his dc2 type r and regreted it big time it's too hard to keep clean and sooner or later the paints going to start chiping off and fade

x2. I'm lazy, not really worth it to me to spend the time/money painting them, and then have them flake off and look like **** later on.
Then again, I've got a somewhat cavalier attitude towards my RSX because it's my daily beater

It's what your wallet will allow. If you're just itchin to customize or can't afford the Brembo or Willwoods they make high heat paint that will last as long as you have the calipers on there. ( I painted mine 8 months ago and they still look bitchin as the day I did it) Go with the decal that IS NOT in itallics. If you decide to put the decal on in an arc around the curve of the caliper it will look better. As far as "imitating Brembo" I didn't know they made calipers with Acura on them.
You're not imitating or being fake, you're putting an Acura label on an Acura part. Now when you see a single piston OEM caliper with a Brembo sticker on it then you have the right to critisize. Should look good.

I second the one saying that the paint wont chip if using high temp paint. For those of you who say their friends peeled off, I highly doubt they used paint made for calipers or basically: high temp paint. You also need to apply 2/3 coats, not just 1.

they last longer if you prep it right, which is something like this
sand down
clean up(acetone)
mulitple light coat
clear coat
but no matter how many coat you put it will only take a rock chip to get the paint off the caliper(unlike powdercoated and anodized aluminium)
it did it during my rice day
, the only color that i could think of that is less rice is black or cast iron grey
