Beaverun Pictures HC race
Here are the pictures my wife Laura took this weekend. Feel free to add more pictures to this thread
Big
to all the other racers, and thanks for letting me play!
Saturday warm up lap for the standing start.

1st lap turn 7, the S2000 spins right in front of me

Just about everyone was able to get by the S2000, but I think 1 car did tag his front bumper causing some damage to the bumper. It was fixed by Sunday. Sunday Morning the same S2000 had a bad mechanical failure in the rear end of the car during qualifying that took him out for the rest of the weekend. Rear axle, rear control arm?? I'm not sure what it was but his rear wheel just about came off the car sending him into a real bad spin on the front strait on Sunday! Bad weekend for that car
I spent the rest of the race chasing the other H2 car no 88. JohnW around the track, but in the end he was just too fast for me to even try a pass.

Sunday Race Grid

Sunday just before the Standing Start

There was nasty car to car contact in turn 1 of the 1st lap that lead to a full course yellow. The 3rd gen white prelude really got messed up. I'm not sure how it happened but when I saw people spinning on the inside of turn 1, I went WAY over into the grass and skipped turn 2 completely before coming back on. I have no pictures of the crash.

After the restart, many laps later, it was time to play follow the white ITR around and hope I get lucky in lap traffic. Well... I didn't but here are some more pictures.

Random pic on the Font strait

ps... I just signed up for Hyperfest and maybe I can get some pictures of the ITR behind me

Nice race. The white #88 ITR of all the cars there sounded absolutely phenomenal. I mean it was like listening to a Formula one car from years ago coming down towards 7 and the front straight. I am not sure of his set up but wow the B18c5 really sings a beautiful song.
great camera work on the S2000 spin!
Walt - It looks like you outqualified the ITR the way the grid looked on Saturday. that is a good start. You probably just need to be more consistent.

Super nice pics dude! I wish we had a track like this here.
Question though....what's up with your rear end? Did you take the lip off the rear? Any reasons why? Just curious.

There are definetly some nice looking cars on the west coast, but a lot of pieces too! I don't know where this greater than thou image came for the west coast.
Those pics show a good amount of good lookin' cars on the east coast.
Can't we all be friends.

well, Jason and some others know that I was just having fun.
In reality it is great to see good looking cars. To add, the East Coaster's car all shiny and squeeky clean. That's the way to do it IMHO.
Great job guys.
Also, that Accord is bitchin. Another Sam's painting?
