Default Brake problem, non track related

On my friends car, on his front left brake, the outer pad completely wore out. The inside pad looks new as it should. We just cut the rotors and replaced the front pads maybe 3 months ago. Now the outer pad is completely worn down to the metal.

My guess is bad caliper. I just wanted to know if this is correct.

Sounds like a siezed caliper pin.
