friday afternoon.... finished work......50 mile hike home down the m40-a40 and through london. (plus a private stretch of road)

same crappy drive, different day. but today would prove to be different

got to about hanger lane/park royal on the a40. and onto my private stretch of road, im poodling along, and an nsx flys by. being a honda owner, i thought i'd follow it and just admire it.

now i've just finsihed fitting a turbo to my .
pretty rapid, and its got an open downpipe as i aint fabbed up a exhaust for it yet.

so trying to follow an nsx without being noticed is kinda hard.

heres the nsx

and so im tailing it, and i pass it cos of traffic,(yup, traffic on my private land) i get a glance, and thought, hmm, he looks familiar, he passes me cos of traffic, and now im sure i deff know him. so now im trying to pull up next to him. by now, partial throttle isnt an option. he floors it off the (drag) lights, i chase, stick with him upto end of 4th. cant get side by side with him. too busy (on my own land!!!!)

get to an open stretch, both gone for it, still on his ***, cant shake me. i back off as were approaching 3 figure marks and to the end of my private road. i start braking, but he aint, even my anticipated point of braking had i been going all out, he still aint braking, boy does he brake late!!!!!!

we both slow and we roll off my private land, and back onto the traffic ridden streets of london. by this point, i stil aint pulled up next to him to have a chat.
suprisingly/luckily, he pulls off the same exit as me.

onto the slip road, and i finally get to pull up next to him.

we roll down our windows, and he gives me the thumbs up, u wont believe who it was...........................................
you wont believe it even wen u see it............................

yup.............. the man himself!!!!!!!!!!!!

JENSEN BUTTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
boy was i in shock wen i saw him in the drivers seat.
talk about being the luckiest sod on the planet, getting to race the UK's elite/best. most people only get to meet him/autograph.
try goin wheel to wheel with him, it feels good!!!

i think its a sign, i am an elite

we spoke briefly for about a minute, he was shocked how quick my car was, asked me wat i done, and i told him, blah blah blah, that made my weekend.
so that was my claim to fame, hope u all enjoyed it. and hopefully next time i see schumy in a enzo when im boosting around 25 pounds

jenson button is a honda f1 driver, his road driving seems far more competitive than his track outings lately

Did the person on the other site claim it happened to him?
This was posted in the kills originally, of course it could be the same poster I suppose.

Do you know what you're talking about? Their having chassis issues...trying to find the sweet spot... Give them a couple of races...

Jenson is a great driver but the car just isn't finding the grip it needs.

well it is not Buttons fault that everyone hyped him in the start of his F1 career, but now after 100 started races and no 1 places
but the BAR now Honda car has always been just behind the other cars so it is not easy for him to finish as number one.
but if you compare him to his team mate Rubens is it a huge difference between Rubens number 6 pos and Button 19 last race and Rubens is new to the team this year and that is worse

there was a lot of hype about jenson when he bought himself out of a williams contract in order to stay with honda, unfortunatley this hype has'nt materialised into track success for him & i would imagine honda will be looking at two new drivers for next year if they want podiums.
we could never allow ourselves to think there are any bad drivers in F 1
or be under the illusion we mere mortals could match any of them, even sato

i have respect for sato (and villeneuve) . he is not like every other politacal correct person in the start grid.

but the drivers who has a seat just because of the sponsor $$ is not god for the sport.
i just hope that the race in USA dont end up like last year, F1 needs the american people

True, however, Aguri formed a team at the urging of HOnda and probably with some dough along side the pressure to make not only the bond to entire the season but technical support for the team, car (although Very dated) and Sato himself. This, just to have a Japanese driver in F1.

Jenson is a very good driver, showing in practice and qualifying. Ruben is also good driver and the team just needs to find some speed in the new chassis'. I mean have to trim downforce just to get good speed will frustrate a chassis engineer like you wouldn't believe. All teams this year are doing well, but Honda F1 (B.A.R. to me) will do better once they've developed the chassis and the engine a bit more.

And the whole argument could be made about Schumacher and his driving last season and the first part of this season...look at what he's doing now?

I guess no one saw the original thread here on H-T in the Kills Forum?

He says "private land" because some boards to not allow street racing stories. I guess saying "private land" is some sort of loop-hole.

I think Button has been flattering the B.A.R and Honda chassis all this time, and I think that's the main reason why Honda want to hold on to him so dearly. They know the data; my opinion is they know the chassis is a dog, and Button has put it in grid slots and finishing positions it doesn't deserve to be in. IMO.

He's also easy on the equipment, so for him to have a mechanical failure will usually mean that component was complete rubbish.
