Default NJ Inspection Suggestions/Regulations

I've thoroughly checked the archives, and haven't found really what I'm looking for.

I checked the NJ DMV site and there wasn't much information either.

Car is a 2001 Integra, converted to OBD1. My second O2 is still intact, but not hooked up. Obviously, for a wide range of reasons, I will not even come close to passing inspection.

I'd like to know a few things.

1.) How long/how many miles/cycles does it take for the OBD2.B ecu's to obtain their "readiness codes"?
2.) I was at a friend's shop while he was inspected a customer's car, and noticed in the inspection software, there is an option to use if the OBD Diagnostic port is not available. Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm assuming it would go straigh to the sniffer test then?
3.) Does anyone have any experience with passing inspection in NJ? I know we don't have a visual inspection. I've also heard if you fail for something, for instance a headlight, when you go back to be re-tested you are only checked for what was the cause of failure; is there any truth to this?

TIA

i can't speak about your number 1 or 2, but as for the failing, you are checked for just whatever failed, not everything over again

so, if i go in there and intentionally remove something on the exterior, i'll fail before they even hook up to the obd diagnostic port....meaning when i come back they will only check for what was missong the exterior? that can't be right

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by a1320addict &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">so, if i go in there and intentionally remove something on the exterior, i'll fail before they even hook up to the obd diagnostic port....meaning when i come back they will only check for what was missong the exterior? that can't be right </TD></TR></TABLE>no they print out a sheet that has everything they inspect and give it to you when there done with the inspection and you have to bring that sheet back for the reinspect or you ll have to go through the whole line again.they do the whole inspection at one time and the sheet will tell you what it failed for and only have to be rechecked for what failed.so you wont just stop the inspect when something fails you keep goin through the entire inspection

Ok well readiness codes are usually available in 20-30 miles depending....also for you to pass inspection YOU MUST have an 0bd2 computer....and thers no sniffer that goes into it..it will read off of the ecu....pm me...(if you need to pass inspection )

If you don't know anyone for a lick and stick... you're gonna have to swap at least the stock injectors / ecu.

Not a bad idea to pull the wg spring either. (this car is turbo'd right?)

Then you have to set all the obd2 readiness codes.
