i think the cusco one is more around the 140 dollar range, but regardless, they all look clean. Oil catch cans are very easy to install as well. As for which looks best, it's up to you man. I like the cusco, others like the srr, your choice.

Cleanest look... Cusco

But for functionality, Moroso is pretty good, and cheap too.

IMO I like the SRR, Nice and easy to empty and remove since its held in with a clamp and it has a removable top to it.

I didn't know you were serious! The catch can elimates crank case oil vapers getting into your intake manifold resulting in loss of octane by "filtering" out the oil through the catch can.

No, it catches oil. I think I remember from previous discussion involving George Knighton about how he found a ton of black crap in his throttle body from oil evaporating and then getting sucked in tot he throttle body and staying there.

An oil catch can is for racers; not street guys. Most race cars have them. I would only suggest it if you plan to do a lot of track driving.

I have the SSR, and it is yet to be installed; I am lazy.

onys00, there shouldn't be anything in the throttle body, if it's in the manifold, that makes more sense. If the vapour goes back throught the valve cover, that means there is a bad PCV valve which makes the vapour to go the wrong direction.

As for catch can, a buffled can will work much better than SSR, cusco catch can and cheaper too.

It's not a necessity, it just provides a better breathing system for the car. Especially when running high compression, a breather may help lower the octane requirement. Remember though, once the oil can is installed, you will loss oil more than before because oil will start accumulating in the catch can. Therefore, you will need to dip-stick more often.

You will not "loss" more oil with an oil catch can. The only difference will be that the oil will accumulate in the catch can, instead of being feed back into the intake manifold and mixed with the incoming air and fuel (and gunking up the intake manifold ).

Open atmosphere setups are also very cost effective. Just route a tube from your crankcase breather valve under the car. You can zip-tie it to the shift lingkage. Also run a line from the PCV valve itself if you feel like it. Result is no need for a catch can and no gunk period in your TB, IM or combustion chamber.

Not emission legal and not enviromentally friendly.

Just route a tube from your crankcase breather valve under the car. You can zip-tie it to the shift lingkage.
The breather hose, that connect the intake tube to the valve cover, supplies fresh air to the crankcase. Therefore, I would not recommend disconnecting it as described.

Also run a line from the PCV valve itself if you feel like it.
By disconnecting the PCV valve tub, this will prevent the blow-by vapors from being "sucked" out of the crankcase and breather chamber.

I would recommend just hooking up a oil catch can and having the PCV system function properly.

I have to disagree, The SRR One is actually a bit better than the 2 others as Cusco and Greddy are just cans with an inlet and outlet nipple. While on the SRR the Inlet nipple has a hose connected to it that extends to the bottom of the can helping to catch the oil vapors and seperate it.

So, you will loss more oil in the engine because it's now in the catch can. BTW, it won't gunk up the intake manifold either due the vacuum created in the block. The only time oil will gunk up the intake manifold is when there is a faulty PCV

I didn't say Greddy and Cusco are better than SRR, I just say Moroso works better than SRR because it's baffled. Which part did you disagree with me?
