The EMS will not make a difference.

Proper tuning with the EMS on a stock engine will.

it all comes down to the tuning.

you can squeeze some power out of a stock s2000 with proper tuned EMS.

not sure the power you squeeze out your engine with the EMS is worth the money. I'd stay with the stock setup.

The most recent AEM base map shows a 25 hp bump with a near stock AP1. If that's true, I think that'd be $1300 well spent. I sure didn't get that type of a bump in power with the Mugen intake, header, exhaust, AND ECU.

With good tuners, I have seen a 10-15whp gain with AEM EMS on a stock S2000. IN a couple cases, I have seen more whp but those weren't conservatively tuned. Like Luder said, AEM EMS will give you more hp for the $ than going out and buying some expensive IHE set up. You can always add the IHE later and get it retuned for more hp.

well i guess since the ems doesn't make that much of a gain ,and is kind of expensive . How about hondata ??? Do they make a program for the S???? Also I do wanna upgrade the motor ,but just looking for idea's now i wana run all motor .

Hondata only works on 06 S2K's. There is nothing for the 00-05's from hondata

I suggest you rethink what you just said. The EMS provides more hp for the $ than you think. If you want to get 10-15whp via an IHE set up, you will be spending at least 2-3k on parts. EMS + tuning is about 1800 and provides definite gains.

Judging from your last few posts, you're too late.

Don't waste your money on the J's unless you have J's full IHE set up. AEM EMS tuned is your best bet and yes it will still net you some nice gains

Like I said... too late.

EMS is Engine Management System, which is programmable, usually referring to the AEM or HKS unit. J's does not make an EMS, they make a replacement ECU. You won't get an answer if no one understands your question.

You should tune with your header too, because that makes more of a difference than an exhaust or intake would.

So why not just wait til the boost? Tuning for an intake and exhaust gets you maybe... 10-15?

I guess a $400 tune is worth 10-15hp.

How come almost everyone else that i've talked to and read on posts, says that their car studders and jerks when they are just cruising the speed limit or a little faster??? Maybe proper tuning on my part or what???
