Hondata Question -- What's the biggest injector you can use and retain "stock like" idle?
I've personally only seen 440cc. I'm sure it can have a good idle with bigger injectors though. Anyone with personal experience? Thanks.
I run 550's and it seems to run better than my tired old stock 240's. This is also on the basemap. It does need to be dyno's to rid the little hickup's it has at 3500 rpm though. Then again this is standard, as the base maps are only tuned to about 1/6 of what the ecu reads as the map settings. The dyno will definetly fix all these problems--well the part throttle tuning will fix these.....
I have 720's on Hondata with a "stock-like" idle.
My current throaty idle is only a result of my custom grind camshafts (Hondata works perfectly).

It's more the injectors themselves that affect the idle quality than the engine management...

I made a few inquires and got some good responses. Check here: http://www.hondata.com/cgi-bin/yabb/...num=1018377052
People have had success up to around 1000cc.. On the Hondata site it says "830's with stock like idle and 30mpg"

what do you mean by this? Are you talking about the build quality of the injector or the size of them??
