Default QUICK QUEST. 4-1 OR 4-2-1

Im going with DC Im pretty sure. I want something thats is CARBD for 99si.

I know the 4-2-1 eliminates the two middle flanges making the header lighter and giving it a cleaner look.

Is there a power diff. between the two.(4-1, 4-2-1)

Thanks for your help.

Keep your fucked up comments to yourself. Im here just looking for help.

If anyone happens to be selling any let me know please. Im looking on ther marketplace(so-cal and nor-cal) all the time.

i beleive the 4-2-1 will give you more low end tourque and the 4-1 will give you better top end. at least thats what i've read, never really tried them though.

Go with the 4-1 for the JRSC. DC suck for your application though, you want to look into something more like Kamikaze.

jackson racing supercharger? umm honestly im not too familiar with superchargers cause turbo's have turbo exhaust manifolds. I'm thinking that you would probably want to go with a 4-1 header though because with a supercharger the exhaust flow may be restricted a little with a 4-2-1 header. 4-1 would make sure it flows smoothly once the boost is kicking in. my opinion and again im not too familiar with supercharged set ups.

She wants a 4-1, preferably with a 2.5" collector. She also wants shorter runners and a bigger collector.

Kamikaze.

Well the Kamikaze was a great suggestion, from reading there website they make a special 2 1/2 outlet down pipe made for supercharged cars. So thanks just can't find if they are carbs so Im emailing them Ill let you know.

Whichever header you get, get the 4-1 style. Reason for this, JRSC has good low end to mid power already but lacks top end at times. The 4-1 will give you the top end thats missing.

or is a Kamikaze sales rep...
teggrl... what are you trying to achieve, or more importantly what is your car used for? (e.g. daily driver, weekend racer, full race... etc.) make your decision based on what will give you the most useful powerband in the situation you normally drive... You don't want something that is going to make its power on the high end if you hardly see the high end... Personally haven't tried any of these so I wont tell you one is better than the other cause I don't know that, will just say look at your application and make an educated decision based on what you want your car to do... Good Luck

not nessecarily... just because one part has low end properties and another has high end doesn't mean that they are going to work together and you can just bolt them on and have this amazingly wide power curve...

This is true and thats what i meant. I didnt make my post to be like "your missing 10whp and with a 4-1 header youll get it back" No im just saying that with a 4-1 header youll feel missing top end compared to 4-2-1

Wasn't trying to give you a hard time... just alot time people will read something like that and think they are going to see some magical cure... they tend to expect too much from a simple mod... It still boils down to what I said in my other post, she needs to assess where she uses her powerband to really get the parts she needs to make her happy...
