Default Which is better?

Im lookin at buyin my first honda, there are two models im lookin into the 99-00 si, i love the body on it but i dont know how good the b16 motor is to work on. the other im lookin at a 96-01 integra gsr, i like the fact that it has a b18c1 motor in it but i dont like the look as much as the si. Im new to the whole tuner world, wich car would be better for a starter car. it will be a daily driver.

It's going to cost you money to get considerable gains. I'd focus on good suspension upgrades and the basic intake, header, exhaust, those are probably the cheapest things you can do to a car without reaching in to the deepest crevaces of your pockets. I'd go with the SI though because I know they are reliable and will last for a while, and for a first car, and first manual transmission it's probably the best choice. Thats just my opinion though.

thanks for your advice, i really do like the si alot. specially that electron blue. and there alot easier to find stock or mostly stock than the gsr. i just was lookin around. ill prolly get it. but it will be sometime till i do since ill be in iraq till nov. wich sucks but im lookin now to get ahead of the game. Once im back ill buy the car and start work, and im goin to start attending UTI school for auto tech.

Yeah they are easier to find stock. I don't think i've seen a stock gsr for sale anywhere around where I live. Good luck in Iraq though i've heard that place is rough these days lol.

Ah this man has a good point. I can't beleive I forgot to mention that. If you did a search for stolen civics you would understand why he recomends a security system lol.
