Why are you rebuilding your LS motor? Depending on what is wrong with the motor, different parts need to be replaced. If nothing is wrong with your motor, it does not need a rebuild.
Many people upgrade their stock rod bolts on the LS bottom end to ARP, due to the fact that the LS/VTEC setup will be revving higher then it was built for.
Stay away from changing bearings if avoidable, specially if you plan on using single size bearings (ACL, or Clevites). Theres no reason to tear your motor apart and change to single size bearings when your OEM bearings are in working condition.
If you completely rebuilding the motor, as fmrprojects suggestioned, use higher compression pistons, and look into machining a GSR girdle to fit on your LS bottom end. Stick with OEM bearings.
