Default Noobie Technical Help Question

Hey, whats up Honda-Tech,

I have just a 95' Civic with stock everything. Well, anyway, one day, the radio was on, and the in-car cigarette lighter was being used. Anyway, one of my friends decides to grab a screwdriver and poke the hole where the lighter is supposed to be. It sparked it, and I guess it short-circuited the whole thing and now the radio won't turn on anymore and work.

Uhh, what could I do to fix this? How much would it cost to get it repaired, and where? Any help is appreciated.

Your DUMBASS buddy pooped the fuse. No big deal. Check the fuse box under the hood and its labeled RADIO. Its a 7.5a fuse. Change it out and problem solved. If not then change the radio fuse in the fuse box under your dash on the drivers side. Its also a 7.5a fuse labeled radio.

Ahh thanks a lot for the help there. Where would I be able to purchase a 7.5a fuse? Would Radioshack have one in stock?

Go to your local auto parts. They usually sell them in small packs. Just in case your friend does that **** again. Tell him to stick the screw driver in a electrical socket in your house next time. That will teach him a lesson!

PS, what fuse box was that, under dash or under hood?
