Get 195/50-15.

It's quite possible. Get 195/50-15 and you should be fine.

Get 195/50-15. It's the right size for your car. It won't rub. It won't be too low or uncomfortable. It's the same outer diameter as the 175/70-13 tires that were on your car when it came from the factory. It will be fine. Get 195/50-15.
P.S. In 195/50-15, the Kumho Ecsta SPT is $51. Unless you need to use it in the winter (in which case you might want to consider an all-season), it's a great tire for the money.
If you want even better performance, and you don't mind spending a little more, there is a $100 rebate on the Goodyear F1 GS-D3, which makes it $66/tire after rebate.

Listen to H-T tire GURUS (NSXTASY), the SPT are nice tires and the only reason why I am getting the ES100 which are great tires to is because the SPT are a special order tire and I can't get a deal on them where as the ES100 I can. But the ES100 is very close in performance.

Yes, you can put it on that size wheel, but the best size tire depends on the car, not just on the wheel. And the best size for a '92 hatch is 195/50, not 205/50.

what do you think about these tires? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW

The Kumho Ecsta 711 is crap.
The Yokohama ES100 is pretty good, similar to the SPT I mentioned. But the Kumho SPT is slightly better, and less expensive too. (And that eBay guy is charging a lot for shipping; I think shipping from the Tire Rack is typically around $50-60 for a set of tires.)

The AST is an all-season tire. If you're not driving in winter weather, its performance is crap compared to summer tires, even relatively inexpensive ones. And if you are driving in winter weather, you're better off using real winter tires instead of all-seasons.
However, if you absolutely must get all-season tires (because you can only drive on one kind of tire all year round, including winter conditions as well as the rest of the year), then there are better all-season tires out there; good values include the Kumho Ecsta ASX and the Pirelli PZero Nero M+S.

the 711 has served me very well for the past two years in all sorts of weather: rain, snow, everything...
shipping from tire rack has always only costed me $35 for all four
