Depends on the size you want of the tire. Also brand. I had some ES100's on my si's... i believe 205/45/15. Not too sure if that's the right size, but i know for a fact my es100 were low pro.

if i were make sure you don't go over a 50 series. like a 205/55/15 is a no go. if you have a lowed car it rubs a lot easier so you can't go as low

Yeah, anything over 50series is nasty. Although it'll lower the risk of bending the rims

Don't listen to these people 195/50/15 is not the right size for you car. You said you have a 98 well the right size would be 195/55/15 which would be the best also 205/50/15 would be very good. Just next time direct the question in the tire forum where you actually have people who know what they are talking about.

Ps: as for tires I would look at the es100 or the SPT

yes that is a good size and you wont have any problems with the speedometer being off.

To the OP I know you have Si wheels so what is your point you are asking if you can put a lower profile on it, I think I answered you question!

I assume you mean a 98 civic ex and not an accord ex cause that's a different ball game.

Stock for your car is 185/65-14

The appropriate 15" size for you is 195/55-15. With a smaller diameter of about 0.1% which is nothing. Your speedo and odometer will be fine. 205/50-15 would aslo work with a smaller diameter of about 1.7% or 3/8". This is still acceptable. most 205s however requre a rim of at least 5.5" wide make sure your rims are sufficient width.

If you need help selecting an appropriate brand and model of tire for your needs come on over the wheel and tire forum and we will be happy to take care of you.
Cheers.
