Default Exhaust Question?

Im attending the high school Drags pretty soon and was wondering if it would make a diffrence if i where to take my Exhaust from my header back? what do you think would this make me slower or faster?

depends post *****... exhaust systems aredesigned to create a low pressure system behind the pipe to draw out the higher pressure exhaust, like a vacume cleaner. try a couple of runs w/ it and w/ out. greatly depends on length and diameter of header, mods, size of motor etc.

i have an intake/exhaust question... my rex didnt come with that hose that connects the head to the intake rubber part... when i bought one and installed it, my exhaust got alot quieter.. what does that hose do?

Nothing that hose did not make your car any less noisy that tube is just a breather for your hood?

it DID make a difference in the exhaust noise... i wonder what that hose does?

The hose that connects your intake to your vavle cover? if that is it it wont change noise in your car there is no way its just the vale cover breather! thats it.......


Are you talking about the bright yellow hose? IF you are thats the same hose im talking about it wont make any diffrence in your exhaust..

yeah to the valve cover... thats all it does? thats wierd.. i didnt do anything else that would make my exhaust quieter... anyways, atleast i dont have to get that resonator anymore!

-oh yeah, the smog place i went to didnt want to smog my car cause it didnt have that hoes! bastards

looks like poop =P. that vacume line equals out pressure in the valve cover with intake. i believe it also prevents dirt and oil from going one place to another. dont remember exactly. its a great idea to have it on there tho. breather valves donmt cut it
