Default My h22 swap with pics

Taking out my f-deuce-duece

we were able to get the motor out in less than 4 hours without a lift :D

Me in the motor bay....I usually don't wear cover-alls and a summit racing hat...lol.

Straight gangsta

Thehatchninja humping my new motor

huge throttle body

And then there was light....

we didn't have any problems mounting it up except the front mount bolt was hitting the header.

I drove it in the garage on Friday at 3:00pm and drove it out on monday at 6:00pm. It started up the first crank and only threw 2 codes (vtec and knock) because I hadn't wired them yet. I'm very disappointed at the power though. I'm thinking it's a timing issue.

you're getting **** power because your ecu is putting itself into limp mode because of the knock sensor error. wire the vtec and knock in and it'll run like a top.

awesome swap, nice job!

edit: i see you're in va. nice to have another performance oriented accord owner around. i used to have an h22 cb7 and thought i was one of the few sometimes, haha!

Sorry that I wasn't clear on my first post but my ecu threw the codes for vtec and knock, I hadn't wired them up yet. I wired them on thursday and it still doesn't tfeel powerful. The inside of the motor is uber clean but I';; have to run a compression test to see if I've got a blown head gasket. I'll keep you guys posted.

That F22 was hella strong...but the H should be much faster.

boosted F22 > H22, but his F22 was leaking a lot of oil and had pretty high miles.

did you alreayd have a 5speed f22? so is this as easy as pullin the old out and putting the new h22 in?

or are there more technical things

I'm going to swap in an H22 into my 6th gen. My swap is a little more complicated though. Taking an Auto and making in manual. I still need the pedals from an manual Accord, and since I have an LX I need the 4 wheel disc brake assembly from an EX. Anybody know where I can get the pedal assembly, and brake assembly for a 6th Gen 4-door EX...?

it's cake if the motor/tranny are ready to go.....harder if it's an auto. RESEARCH

it happened at idle, and the motor just cut off....probably no bent valves.

manual tensioner conversion + new t.belt should fix it.

i highly doubt this.. interferance motor + broken T belt never yelds good results.

it will probally run like poo if it even runs again.

I hope it didnt get ruined though that would upset me so much.

i'm a mechanic fool, I know.

my friend's LS-VTEC with 12.5:1 pistons broke the t-belt at idle and nothing bent.

it's probably fine
