internal coil, tie rod ends, map sensor, couple of questions...
ok, just finished my motor swap(h22 goodness) and Im putting my tie rod ends back on, but when I try to drive the bolt on the stud, it just spins, how c an I keep from doing this? also, i read that to convert to an internal coil dizzy, just splice the yellow and the black/yellow wires of the external coil plug together and thats it...any truth?
last question, when I swapped in my h22, the throttle body has a MAP sensor on it. Now from what I hear the f22 has a MAP already that is ont the fire wall...will it hurt just to leave the MAP on the TB unplugged as I do not have a MAP sensor plug lying around b/c the MAP on my firewall is already plugged up...?
TIA

take some degreaser and spray the **** out of the threads on the tie rod. grab a wire brush and brush out and gunk in the threads. after that, put some anti-sieze of the threads, start threading the castle nut on, and when it starts to spin the whoel joint, back off and then with a boxed end wrench on the nut, go forward really quick and then back, the nut will clean through the threads and you keep going back and forth moving forward slowly until it all the way on. oh, i forgot to mention that if you place a piece of wood on top of everything and butt the other end up in you fender well, and jack it up from the bottom, it will compress ball joint and the method i just explained will work easier..
thanks man. that was my main concern, bu have you any insight to the MAP senor problem? I verified the splicing of the 2 wires on my external coil plug. Im about 2 hours away from hearing my h22 purr( I HOPE!!!)

but am I right about the map of an S model lude being on the firewall? b/c it sure looks like it. and if so, then there is no need for anotherm ap right?

Well I have a 91 Accord and my MAP and some other emissions crap is located in a black box mounted on my firewall. So I did not have a plug available for the H22 map. Turns out I didint need one. I just left it unplugged and My "firewall MAP "works fine.

thats what I was thinking. I didnt touch the MAP sensor when taking out the f22, so I guess I should be good to go.
