Default 94 EX Gauge Light Problem

I recently took out the gauge cluster and removed the ABS Light. I put everything back together and plugged it back in and everything seems to work fine except the "P" park light is on when I turn the car on and goes off when the parking light is turned on. The clock also gets dimmer when I turn to parking light. The backlighting also doesn't seem to work. All other lights and gauges seem to work fine though. I'm pretty sure I re-assembled everything correctly but I might've made an error somewhere and I wanted to know if anyone knew what could be causing this problem.

the dash lights should get dimmer with the parking lights as you described. The P light should get dimmer as well. Did you look at it in daylight? The green may just be blending in.
What is the backlighting not working on?

I looked at everything in daytime and night time. The P light is Red when parking light is off and then just shuts off completely when parking light or headlight is on. I tried going through the shifter with the parking light off and all of them lit up. When parking light was on, none of them lit up. It seems as though it is working backwards or is this just normal? As for the backlighting, it doesn't work at all anymore.

Personally I'd pull it back out and see if anything is wired wrong. Not tryign to say you did it wrong. But it would be nice to eliminate that as a possible problem before tryign to rack your brain figuring this out.

What wires would you be referring to? I don't think I messed with any wires, just a bunch of screws.

pull it out again and put the ABS light back in and see if that corrects the problem, maybe cause you pulled out the ABS light it may have caused a cross somewhere and is causing a conflict. same problem happened with my 93 integra when i took out my ABS light.

Put the ABS light in and just cover the bulb, piece of black tape or something over the bulb itself.

i could not find the original light that i removed so i took out the fuel warning light and tried it with the same result. I think used the fuel warning light and put it in the abs light slot with still the same result. any other ideas?
