I'm pretty sure the guy wanted you to install higher tension rate LMA like the type r or the teardrop shaped spring prelude LMA.

well depending on what year head and model you have you may want to upgrade them. if you have an older head you may want to upgrade to type r or gsr from the newqer years, even newer prelude with shimming.

well if you are running bigger cams than stock or type r cams i would upgrade to type r lma's. a monster cam is going to wear a lma out faster, the newer lma's are better than the gen1 versions and hold up to the abuse of the larger cams. when i said to a point thats what i was talking about, type r cams i wouldnt change them out because they are the newer version, bigger than an r shaft and i would get the best possible. type r lma's are so cheap why not? you are going with blox stage b, i dont know the blox line that well so i couldnt tell you but i assume they are like a stage 2 shaft? go with a r lma set. streetlightz.com have them normally

Thats what I thought would be the best bet instead of having to shim the prelude one I'll just stick with the acura stuff

I already know that the best is 97-01 prelude lma and you have to get .40 thick washer and that there 9 or so dollars each and lots cheaper than type r which are around 260 for the set the question here is if the 99-00 si lmas are adequate to support high lift high comp n/a engines.

this is one of those situations where you either buck up and get the new LMA's or just take the risk........your motor isn't going to instantly blow up if you dont get new LMA's, but just realize that if you ever do have a problem, tough **** pretty much.

skunk2 stage 2's are very popular cams and i can pretty much garuntee you there are tons of people running around with stock lma's and stage 2's. that being said, if it only cost 90 bucks to sleep well and forget about that part of your motor, go for it.

oh and for the record to fastgsr sorry for the thread jack, he doesnt seem to mind much and the cams in use will be pro2's not stage 2's huge huge difference. im starting to lean towards just buying the lmas and bud there not 90 bucks try 265 for the set for itrs.

Yeah...no ****. I'd like to find where you can get them for 90 bucks. I don't know where to look, and I don't trust ebay to get the right stuff. I checked streetlightz.com like the guy above a few posts said...no joy. Anyone know of anywhere else??

they're called prelude LMA's, and they're better than ITR's if you ask me.

http://www.hondaautomotivepart...R+ARM

with shipping they're like 76 something, and the washers you need are like a nickel a piece at ace hardware.........so make that less than 80 bones

I'm doing the same right now. What about the shim?? What size do I need to use if any?? And will I need a certain material that will stand the abuse and heat??
