zc dohc or sohc?

Default zc dohc or sohc?

well ppl have been telling me the dohc is not worth the extra 200 over a sohc...

what are the advantages or disadvantages ?

obviously they don't know crap about ZCs and probably have never owned either - we have swapped a couple of dozen ZCs, SOHC, SOHC VTEC and DOHC, into all models of 88-91 CRX/Civic along with dozens about every other kind of Honda engine there is - the DOHC ZC engine is much quicker in these cars than any SOHC engine - you would need to spend a lot more than the $200 difference in cost of the engines on any SOHC to get it to run anywhere close to a DOHC - if you are worried about the cost, why not get a HF or DX engine (they don't run well either, but they are cheap) - you can pick them up for next to nothing, we even throw them away
